年末的脚步声将近，由Matthew Ma、Hermie Miao、Marinette Zhao、Virgil Bao等人为首的汇点学生委员会改选活动在2019年11月29日拉开帷幕。隶属学生会的文娱、生活、外联、文化部门以及即将到来的圣诞晚会主持人选举进行的如火如荼。自我介绍，故事想法，探讨内心的真实想法，展示自己的能力资本。此次我们见到的，仅是冰山一角而已。

On November 29th, the election of the Heads of Student Government Departments have been held successfully. The election contained heads of the Activity, Life,Communication, Learning Department and host of the upcoming Christmas Gala. Apart from self-introduction, all candidates expressed their own real thoughts and abilities.

参与此次选举的学生包括吕博凯、马世豪、薛卓玲、缪昕桐、邢玮芸、周皓、余子润、赵逸菲、黄雨禾、戴羽涵、包在、袁智麟、王亦旻、张志鸿共十四人。他们向全校师生展示着一个与众不同的自己。并不是所有人都如出一辙的口若悬河，但每个人的介绍都展现了最真实的自己——有平日里不怎么讲话的，鼓起勇气，为了挑战自己走上讲台；有成绩并不是最好的，但却真心实意想为学校做些什么。最后，共有五位同学代表当选。他们是优秀的，而承担着这份荣誉的同时，也承受着同样的责任。我们始终相信，他们将成为学校核心力量的一份子。

There were fourteen candidates taking part in this election. They were Albert Lyu, Matthew Ma, Aarifie Xue, Hermie Miao, Wendy Xing, Sherlock Zhou, Aaron Yu, Marinette Zhao, Gloria Huang, Cassius Dai, Virgil Bao, Max Yuan, Michael Wang and James Zhang. All of them tried their best to prepare for the election——some of them might be very quiet and shy, but they challenged themselves to speak in front of all students; some of them might not be straight A students, but they sincerely wanted to do something for the school. There were five students being elected eventually. While they were taking the honor, they also shouldered the responsibilities of their positions. We always believed that they deserved to be parts of the Student Government. 

不管是竞选成功的同学，还是遗憾落选的同学，请相信未来的你们会感谢这次尝试！No matter if the candidates were elected or not, they would all be grateful and thankful to this experience in the future. 

Chance for me！Chance for you！

我们都是怀着不服输的勇气向前冲去，为了变的更加优秀，为了寻找的脚步。相信自己的可能性，因为从来都不是轻易认输的人，从来不因为一次的失败就放弃尝试。

We all live with the unyielding courage, in order to be excellent. We all believe in our possibilities because we are strong, and we won’t be beaten up by one single failure.

在汇点，没有人愿意仅仅留下回忆，为了不让自己留下遗憾，就绝不停下尝试的脚步。即便只是迈出小小的一步，即便只是留下失败后不甘的泪水，我们正值青春，我们拥有无限的创造力。学生委员会改选只是我们生活的一个小小缩影。

In MCHS, nobody is willing to leave regrets, so we should never stop trying. Even if it is only a small step, we are young and have unlimited creativity. The election is only the microcosm of our lives. 

能够坚持自己的目标，这比什么都重要，或许是为了自己的喜好而努力，或许是为了克服怯场的毛病，这是我们最初的希望。在过程中成长为更加优秀的自己，成为理想中的自己。

Sticking with the goals is more important than everything, it may only be for our own preferences, or to overcome the fear. Our aim is only to be a better and ideal “you”.
