       赫德幼儿园致力于为孩子们带来最富于意义的双语体验,让每个孩子都能按照自己的节奏发展。从孩子们进入校园的那一刻起,他们就受到了友好、热情的中英文主班老师的欢迎。在跨文化老师的共同努力下,我们的孩子双语能力得到大幅提高,包括双语读写和中外文化的吸收。双语的输入和输出,让孩子们对语言、文化和全球的多样性学会尊重和欣赏。


      It is imperative for our Kindergarten to give students a meaningful bilingual experience that allows for each child to develop at his or her own pace. The former is seen from the moment students enter campus when they are greeted by friendly, warm English and Chinese co-teachers who serve as role-models for cross-cultural collaboration. Our students get the wonderful opportunity to become bilingual, bi-literate, and bicultural. Learning in two languages affords our students the opportunity to develop respect and appreciation towards language, culture, and global diversity.


      我们坚信,语言应该在一个自然的环境中习得。因此,赫德幼儿园的中英文老师全天候在教室陪伴(蒙爱班),始终与孩子们待在一起,保证他们能够完全沉浸在双语环境中。他们为孩子们带来有趣的、有吸引力的中英文课程,这些课程有着相同的学习内容和目标,包含在每月不同的主题、国家主题和拼音/阅读主题之下,以跨学科的课程呈现。


       Our kindergarten strongly believes that language should be acquired in a natural environment. Therefore, both Chinese and English teachers are with students throughout their school day thus allowing students to be fully immersed in a bilingual environment.  Our Chinese and English curriculum contain the same learning content and goals, and is presented to students in a fun and engaging way. Our curriculum has a monthly theme, country theme, phonics/reading theme and Math and is presented with a cross-curricular approach. 


       比如,课程主题“恐龙”、“欢迎来到春天”等,孩子们会一起制作有趣的工艺品或参与互动活动,将各学科的知识融于其中;在设计当月国家主题时,则注重让孩子深入了解该国家的地理、文化、著名的地标、原住民等,以培养我们的全球化小公民。


       Teachers also discuss the monthly theme like: Dinosaurs, Welcome to Spring, etc. and students get to learn about these by making fun crafts or participating in fun interactive activities. Students also learn about the country of the month and have a deeper look at the specific country’s geography, culture, famous landmarks, indigenous people, etc. to help develop and nurture our little globalized citizens.

以爱育爱的一日流程

       在CASA,每天早晨从20分钟的英语晨圈开始。当孩子们聚集成一个圈时,他们不仅学习社交技巧、沟通技巧和学术知识,同时建立起一种课堂社区的感觉。他们学习日常对话的基本知识,如谈论他们的感受、日历和天气,或讨论他们喜欢和不喜欢的话题;他们在有趣的英文歌曲中唱歌跳舞,玩有趣的英文游戏。晨圈时间让他们建立起了对英语的热爱,还提高了他们的英语口语和听力技能。


       In CASA, school starts with a 30 minute English morning circle. As students gather in the circle they learn socialization skills, communication skills and academics while establishing a sense of classroom community. During circle time students learn the basics of daily conversations like talking about their feelings, the calendar and weather, or discussing topics like their likes and dislikes. Along with these, students get to sing and dance to fun English songs and play fun English games. Our circle times help students to develop a love for English and improve their English speaking and listening skills.


      在蒙特梭利工作时间,老师鼓励孩子按照自己的发展水平和节奏探索和使用材料。他们精心准备了一个充满蒙特梭利教具的教室环境,以吸引孩子的好奇心和探索欲,驱动他们主动去学习。他们通过引导孩子做出独立的选择,来帮助孩子发展自我激励、自我调节和解决问题的能力。


      During Montessori time, teachers encourage students to explore and use materials at their own developmental level and pace. Our teachers thoughtfully prepare the classroom environment to invite curiosity and stimulate learning. Teachers guide students to make independent choices, that helps them to develop self‐ motivation, self‐regulation, and problem-solving skills. 


      同步蒙特梭利工作时间,英文老师则以小组教学的形式教授孩子们,并且给予每个孩子更多的个人关注。在赫德幼儿园,非常强调学习语音和早期阅读。老师提供丰富的学习材料,帮助孩子学习字母的发音,学会如何结合声音组成单词,造句,以及学会如何使用铅笔。一旦掌握了这些技能,孩子们就会自发地进行阅读和写作。


      Montessori table time, allows teaches to teach students in small groups and give more individual attention to each student. Here, great emphasis is on learning phonics and early reading. Using hands-on materials, students learn letter sounds, how to combine sounds to make words, how to build sentences, and how to use a pencil. Once these skills are acquired, children spontaneously learn to read and write.


      赫德幼儿园非常鼓励自由游戏,因为我们知道自由游戏可以促进认知发展,同时促进身体、社会和情感发展,让我们的孩子自由探索、创造和发现并应用他们在课堂上所获得的技能。我们的英语老师非常喜欢与孩子们一起玩各种游戏,比如孩子们最爱的“Tag”、“Duck-duck-goose”、Football等,在游戏中释放活力,也是一个在自然的英语环境中与老师和同学们进行互动和交流的机会。


      Free play is highly encouraged by our kindergarten as we know that it fosters cognitive development while boosting physical, social and emotional development. It also allows our students the freedom to explore, create and discover and apply skills that they’ve acquired in the classroom. Our English teachers enjoy playing with students during playtime. Tag, Duck-duck-goose and football are some of the games that students love to play with teachers. Once again, students are given the opportunity to interact and converse in a natural English environment with their teachers and classmates.



      一日流程以一段充满乐趣的30分钟午后英文“Circle Time"结束。在午后“Circle Time”活动中,老师给孩子们读故事,以帮助提高他们的听力和理解能力,通过提出开放性和封闭性的问题提升他们的对话技巧,并发展批判性思维能力。


       School ends with a fun-packed 30 minute afternoon circle time. During afternoon circle, teachers read stories to students to help improve their listening and comprehension skills, built their conversational skills by asking open and closed ended questions, and develop critical thinking skills.
